Mike's first taste of music was introduced to him by his parents and grandmother. It was very common to hear his mother or father playing some tunes on the organ in the family room. His grandmother introduced Mike to singing as she would entertain any guests on any occasion. His first instrument was the accordian which began at age ten.
Mike's performing career started as a student at Ithaca College. While studying communications Mike began to write songs and perform them on campus at various events. He was studying piano and began to take an interest in the guitar.
The Mike Tebo Band began in the summer of 1987. Beginning as a solo performer Mike began to play the local clubs and bars. The band has two studio albums to their credits. "Perserverance" and the 2006 release "Get out of my Head" Both projects have received great praise from the fans and industry peers.
The band has carved out a path of their own. Mike Tebo has shown he has the creativity and talent to be successful in the ever challenging world of music.
